What to do in Ubud ?

Awalk through the Monkey Forest Road (shops and restaurants) to the monkey forest temple and a little further Nyuh Kuning,
a quiet village, small shops and alternative medicine.

Visits to museums in Ubud: Neka Museum, Antonio Blanco Museum, Puri Lukisan,
Rudana Museum, Arma Museum with its park and events.

Attendance at courses: cooking classes, painting, dance, batik, textiles, ceramics.

Visit and experience of the market (Pasar)
in Ubud. In the early morning the hustle and bustle, the busy trading, the intense smell is particularly impressive.

Walk from Villa Orchid by Kelabang
moding, and through rice paddies to Ubud Located mid-way stop at Sari Organic Restaurant in the middle of the rice fields.

Walk directly from Orchid Villa from the
rice fields to the temple in Kauh and back.

Hike to a neighboring village to Petulu
(4 km), known for thousands of herons (Kokokan) flying in the evening from the rice fields on
their nesting grounds along the main road to Petulu back.

Visiting dance performances: Kecak dance (fire dance) in Jungjungan, (Monday night, 500 meters away from Villa Orchid, you just go walking down there. Highly recommended! Every day, various dances at the Puri Ubud and in various Banjar - halls around Ubud.

Visit the night market in Gianyar, (12 km from Ubud) to a simple meal at "original Balinese" as Babi Guling, Ayam Tutu, Panggang Ayam, Es Campur, It Campur Buah, It teler and experience the real taste of specialities of Bali (khas Bali).

We are sure you will find a number of interesting possibilities, you'll gladly accept. The Balinese are very friendly and hospitable people. You will miss the smiling faces back in your country.
